Well, I thought I'd do something for those great teachers my kids have to say, "thanks!" We made a hand scrub for them-- perfect for summer right! There are lots of ideas how to make them on the internet. We made two differrent kinds because I gave some to someone I visit teach who has allergies in her family. The first and easiest version:
take a jar, fill it 3/4 way full of sugar (you might need more after you mix it), then add a liquid dish soap that you like the smell of. Mix with a table knife, re-add anything to make the right consistency and that's it! Easy-Peasy!
The second version, still easy:Start this one in a bowl, it seems easier. This is the actual recipe, 3 T olive oil, 3t. of vanilla extract, 1T. almond extract and then sugar to right consistency. I didn't have any almond extract at the time so I used the vanilla, sugar, and olive oil, but then added some dish detergent that was mild in scent (Dawn-splash of lime) I wanted to have some soap in it anyway. And that is all! The only problem with this one I noticed after 2 days the color changed a little, the others didn't. They really work too! I was a little scepticle at first--"Sugar? Really?" But it works pretty good! Kamiah really likes to use it, I have to remind her not to use it too much! : )
I got this label from: www.favecrafts.com (just changed some colors in photoshop to match some of my ribbon, though I really liked her colors, better perhaps.) Anyway she gave it out free.
