Camp Invention

In June Kamiah did a camp called Camp Invention where they learned and practiced different skills and concepts.  We had to save a bunch of different recyclables (up-cyclables they called it) and she in groups would create things with them.  There were different classes that they would rotate through everyday, and each had a different theme or scenario.  For instance in one class they crash landed on a planet and they had to get into groups and make superhero clothes to help them survive on the planet and they used the stuff parents brought in and duct tape and other things.

This first picture is her in one group she was in.
This is something they created (I don't remember the objective for it though).
This one they created a city.  They planned out things for the city and worked in pairs or groups to create a certain part of the city (she worked on the school, it has the foil roof).
Here she is with her friend Logan, we car-pooled.
This is the face I wanted to see!  (She's laughing at the boy blowing the bubble.)
I thought this class seemed really fun, they learned about different games, then worked together to adjust the rules, agree on them, and play.  It actually sounded like a lot of fun.  They even made up their own games, or would take a few of the up-cyclable items, and figure out a game, and the rules for it, agree and then play!
This was a ride they created in another class where learned about some physics principles.  Her group named theirs The Lizard.
Here she is at the very end!  Her two group leaders are behind her.  (Ones eyes are kind of closed, oops!)
