M O N T A N A, Montana I love you! Vacation post #1

We got to visit Montana home to my heart! We had lots of fun with family.

 

Flying planes with Grandpa, the kids would run after the bombs and parachutes he would drop for them.

 We all headed over to a lake by my parents house.  My parents were so kind to buy some bikes that Kamiah and Wesley could ride, so Grandpa, kamiah, Wesley, Nick, Lisa and Halle and Maddie (in the trailer) all rode over to the lake. Scott and I drove over with Jameson and McKenzie and the fishing gear.  We hadn't been there long when Halle slipped in.  (It wasn't deep where she fell in, just a surprise)  She was shocked, but actually not crying until I wanted to take her picture, and then she was mad!  Luckily, I had an extra pair of shorts and a pull-up just in case other circumstances arrived.  Anyway, she was happy to play at the playground after that! 

  The kids helped Grandpa get the pool ready!  It was great, my parents kept the winter cover on the pool, except for when we were in so the kids could go outside, without us worrying!

 And of course we got to swim... thought we had some other pictures of swimming too (from other days), but I guess not.  We had lots of fun though!

 Sometimes it was fun to just hitch a ride in the deep end.

My brother Nick would put all the kids on his shoulders, go under water and shoot them out!

We used to do this all the time growing up, so just like old times......

(I don't go as high as the kids, I think gravity works a little harder on me, or maybe it's my youthfulness??)

Thought I'd let Nick have some fun too.  He climbs on....waiting.....waiting....oooh, maybe.....aaww, sorry Nick, I'm not as strong as you!  :)  He pretty much had to do all the work to jump too!  Just you wait, next year....

 Even Halle was jumping off the diving board having fun!

   Poor Sampson is finally showing signs of aging.  Very sad.  He didn't want to be out and about because he was so scared of the kids, who hadn't done anything to him this year yet.  He seemed to be loosing his hearing too maybe.  Oh Sampson, we love you!  All the kids still love him too.  Jameson loved to follow him around saying, "puppy, puppy, puppy".

 The kids all had a "help grandma cooking night" too!  It's a big job corralling 9 grandchildren (4 of them 3 and under, that were helping).  3 younger ones ended up going downstairs to play, and the others had fun with grandma!  (On the left is My sister-in-law Katie's 13 year old niece Savannah, she's a sweetheart!  We had lots of fun with her, kamiah especially!)
